October Tournament:

The October tournament was held out of Wind Creek State Park on Lake Martin. On Day one, eleven boats were ready for take off at safe daylight, the morning was cool and a little brisk with a north wind.
As the morning went on, the wind increased from the north, making the main lake choppy, it also helped the morning bite for some. It was mostly blue bird skies wich helped push the fish under the docks, especially those with brush piles planted under them.
Weigh-in time was at 4 p.m. on Saturday, there were four limits brought to the scales, with some nice fish to be weighed in.

The 5lb Booray pot was finally won by Brian Metcalf, congratulations to Brian. At the end of Day one weigh-in, Brian was leading the tournament, followed by Rich Cornelius, Terry Smith and Mack Cramer to round out the top 4.

Day two was very much like day one weather wise, the only exception was that the wind was light. The bite on day two was much more of a challenge for most, there were no limits weighed in on day two, Don Jahnke had big fish honors for day two wich topped the scales at 2.55lbs.
The majority of the fish were caught on finesse worms and some top water plugs, although spinner baits and crank baits did play a role.
Overall, the club was expecting a much better tournament pertaining to fish being caught, but hey, thats why they call it fishing and not catching.
