Old Buisness:

At the June meeting, Mack had asked the E-Board to bring clarification to the club on the responsibilities of the Non-Boater when it comes to paying ½ the Boater's truck and boat gas for a one day tournament and ½ the room expense for a two day tournament. Brian briefed the club that, after being paired for a tournament, the Non-Boater is responsible for ½ the Boater's UNLESS, they call an E-Board (preferably the Tournament Director) prior to 9 p.m. Thursday night prior to the tournament on Saturday and inform them of the reason they are unable to fish. If there was a drawn Lone Boater, the Lone Boater will be paired with the Boater. The first drawn Boater will have first right to taking their boat. If unable to pair the boater, the club will pay ½ the Boater's expenses.
It was reported that Stan Kiefer, who was voted in during our June meeting, would not be joining the club at this time. If he decides to seek membership in the future, he will have to fish as a guest and be voted on again.
Fred made a motion to purchase a laptop from Ken Repine for $245 using money from the Special Fund. The motion was seconded and passed.

New Buisness:

Welcome back John Schaeff, who was voted back in the club.
Brian reminded the club membership that the Special Fund was only used to pay for activities, programs, purchases that support the entire club. It is not intended augment any tournament payout. Pete read an article that discussed "fishing ediquette". Basically, respect the other fisherman when fishing the same area. This month's 50/50 winner was Tony Boyett.

July Tournament:

The July tournament was held on the Alabama River at Mt Vernon Landing with 24 die hard fishermen attending. Conditions were great but the temps were in the high 90's. Where is the wind when you need it? Boats blasted off in all directions at safe daylite and some found fish and some didn't. It was one of those kind of tournaments.

At weigh-in, This is getting REALLY old folks. In first place, again, was Brian Metcalf with 5 really nice fish that weighed 10.15lbs (and that was with a dead fish deduction). Brian also won Big Fish with a 4.90lbs hawg.

July Tournament:

Second place went to Walter McCartney with 5 big green trout that pushed the scales to 9.5lbs. In third place was Lee "Slammer" Brannon also with 5 nice keepers that went 8.7lbs. Fourth place went to Pete "I never lie" Potter. He had 5 nice fish that weighed 7.65lbs. These were the hot dogs that found the fish.

Hawg Want A Be:

~Know Your Hawgs~

Say hello to Dan Nash.
Dan is sponsored into the club by
Pete Potter.
Dan lives in Foley Alabama and is also a menber of the Easten Shore Bass Club. Pete also warned the club that Dan is a "Yankee" and that we already have one (Ron Fairbanks) in the club now. Now I know that Ron has been a tough nut ta crack, but just maybe if both of them would start using words like
GRITS, YA'LL, & OVER YONDER
maybe the club could convert them over ta see the lite.
Dan also own's a boat and will be fishing as a boater.
