2004

Minutes of the Meeting:

The June 2004 meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 p.m. on June 16, 2004 at Founaris Brothers on Hwy 29. President Brian Metcalf presided. There were 23 members and one guest present.

Members Of The Board:

President
Brian Metcalf
Vice President/Treasure
Pete Potter
Secretary
Kevin Simmons
Tournament Director
Frank Kelly
Asst. Tournament Director
Walter McCartney

Old Buisness

Kevin Simmons emailed the updated phone listing to those that have an email address. See him at the next meeting if you don't have an email address and he will give you a printed copy. Kevin also gave a report on using the computer at the May
weigh-in. The computer sped up the posting of results on the webpage but it slowed down weigh-in.
Kevin reported that the need to keep written records in addition to entering results
into the computer, slowed the process down. Kevin recommended either slowing down the speed the fish are weighed-in or have someone, such as the Assistant Tourney Director, write the fish weights down on paper while the Secretary enters the information into the computer.
The membership voted to table the vote on buying the computer until next month.

New Buisness:

Welcome to our guest, well I guess you could call him a guest. John Schaeff has decided to come to his senses and re-join the club. I guess he just couldn't stand being away from our bright and shiney faces. We also extend a hearty welcome to our newest member Stan Kiefer, who was voted in.
Mack Cramer asked the E-board to discuss and bring to the club membership clarification on when a person is responsible for paying ½ the expenses of the boater. They will bring their findings to the membership at the next meeting.
Fred Raby asked everyone to respect Rule 10 of the
Tournament Rules. That is, to keep at least 50 yards between you and another club member's boat during a tournament.
Walter won the 50/50.

June Tournament:

The June tourney was on the mighty fish producing Blackwater River out of Carpenter's Park. It was a hot, hot, hot day. At the weigh-in, 20 fish were weighed for a total of 26.35lbs. 12 of 23 fisherman weighed a fish and 1 limit was caught.
Ken Repine captured fourth with one fish that weighed 2.35lbs. That weight was also good enough for Big Fish honors. Maybe the Big Fish pot will pay for that rod and reel that went to Davy Jones' locker. Neil Springstead found two fish that pushed the scales to an impressive 2.45lbs. and third place. Terry Smith grabbed second place with two fish that went 3lbs even. Brian Metcalf found the secret and brought in the only limit for 6.55lbs and first place (Again).
