Message From The President:
Welcome to our newest member Danny Wright. Danny, have your wallet full of money and ready at the next meeting to pay for a club hat and shirt. We were able to pressure the members to get you voted in.
Those that fished the April tourney found the fish biting pretty well and beautiful weather. We had 7 of 12 anglers limit out on Saturday and 5 more limits on Sunday. Mack hit the trifecta. He won the tourney and big fish both days. Maybe he won't complain so much about the excessive cost of the hotel now.
Saturday night all 12 anglers joined together to burn some meat (or chicken) on the Bar-B.
Everyone brought their own entree and the club purchased the potatoes, salad and fixin's. MMM GOOD!
Let me remind everyone that the hot summer months are rapidly approaching. Be prepared! Take AND DRINK plenty of water or sport drink; glob on the sunscreen in the morning and again at least one more time during the day, and wear a hat to protect that tender bald spot that most of us are sporting around now.
Lastly, as most of you know, Jere's mother has been very ill for sometime now. It's with great sadness to report that Mrs. Jaillite succumbed to her illness Sunday night. I'd like to pass along the club's deepest condolences to Jere and his family on the passing of their mother.
Jere, don't hesitate to call on us if you need anything.
Until next month,
keep them hooks sharp...
Kevin

Minutes of the Meeting:
The April Pensacola Hawg Hunters meeting was brought to order at 7:00 P.M. on April 18, 2007 at Founaris Brothers Restaurant. President Kevin Simmons presided. There were 19 members present.
Old Buisness:
Danny Wright was voted in as a new member. Everyone enjoyed a nice steak dinner at the "ghost house" in Camden at last month's tournament.
New Buisness:
Discussion about procedures for points and money refund for boater or non-boater canceling before or after Thursday before the tournament.
Cookout for April's tournament to be steaks. BYOS = bring your own steak. The special fund will pay for potatoes and salad.
Glenn Kittrell brought up the idea of providing fishing information to Steve Graham's weekly radio show and get the club name mentioned on the air.
Jim Bailey Sr. asked for someone to replace Bob Smith's spot on his web page. There was discussion about lack of participation in fishing tournaments and not showing up for meetings. Now is the time to start thinking of possible changes to requirements for maintaining membership in the club. The other point was made-so what if some folks don't show up to the meetings or fish tournaments we can still put their money in the bank. Kevin committed to calling the inactive members to check on them and encourage their attendance. Discussion about recruiting drive for club.
Mack told Mexico fishing story about the value of a $5 tip and to beware of a lone green hillside among a bunch of brown mountains.
Kevin mentioned the problem with his boat last tournament and also said he thought he had fishing line wrapped around his prop hub but it was metal leader and cracked the clutch in the hub, recommended keeping an extra one in the boat for immediate repairs.
John Buck brought up the interesting data Bob Ward had on his site regarding the bass population on the Mobile Delta.
