Old Buisness:

The November meeting minutes were not read at December's meeting because the meeting was held in the main dining room.
The November minutes will be reviewed at January's meeting.

New Buisness:

John Gasperak. is leaving the Hawg Hunters and moving away. When exactly is "yet to be determined." John sent Pete Potter an email stating his disappointment at never having fished a tournament with him and surely wished Pete would draw his name for the December Tournament - So Pete did.
The Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday January 13th, 6:30 PM at Mesquite Charlies. A head count was taken for ~ 30 folks including wives/girlfriends
(bring your girlfriend or your wife not both - that gets way too ugly). If you were not counted in this number and plan to attend please inform one of the E-board members as soon as possible.
Glenn Kittrell was voted in as our newest member (which proved to be a strategic error for Saturday's upcoming tournament).
There will be more items discussed at the January meeting when the club will be able to meet in a private room more appropriate for discussions.
The schedule conflict with our normal room was due to our meeting on the 2nd Wednesday instead of the normal 3rd Wednesday.

A Little Salt:

CHRISTMAS COOKIE RECIPE
We should start our baking soon. I Love this recipe!
Christmas Cookie Recipe

1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
Lemon juice
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Crown Royal (may substitute vodka, rum or gin)
Sample the Crown Royal to check quality.

Take a large bowl, check the Crown Royal again, to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy
bowl.

Add one teaspoon of sugar... Beat again.

At this point it's best to make sure the Crown Royal is still OK, try
another cup.. just in case.

Turn off the mixer thingy.

Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the damn fruit off da floor.
Mix on the turner.

If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a
dewscriver.

Sample the Crown Royal to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something...who gives a crap!!

Check the Crown Royal again.

Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one table.

Add a spoon of ar, or somefink..whatever you can find.
Greash the oven.

Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.

Finally, throw the bowl through the window.

Finish the bottle of Crown Royal.
Make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

December Tournament:

Wow!! What a nice day for fishin'. This was certainly the perfect day to be out on the water.
The forecast was for heavy fog but we didn't see any on the road from Food World to the ramp and it was clear on the water too.
The temperature was a pleasant but brisk 47 degrees and warmed up into the 70's during the day.
Overall the fish were pretty cooperative (but not completely…) There were 7 limits caught and just a smidgen under 60 lbs total weight of live fish brought to the scales. There were 6 boats of fishin folk battling for the big pay off and some new guy (I'm not sure how he got in the club) took almost all of the money.

Tournament Winner
Glenn Kittrell

Glenn Kittrell brought in a good stringer of fish weighing in at 8.65 lbs; almost 2 lbs more than 2nd place, Mack Cramer with 6.82 lbs. Yes, they were fishing together.

Big Fish Winner
Lee Brannon

3rd place went to Mr. "Big Fish" Lee Brannon who brought in another money fish weighing 2.90 lbs, .01 more than last month's big fish. 4th place went to Pete Potter with one of the 7 limits caught on the day. Jere Jaillite moved into the points lead with another consistent showing with a limit but John Buck placing 6th for the tournament is only a couple of hat/shirt points out of the overall lead. John did his best to put Marc on fish (If he could have put a fish on his line for him I think he would have done it) but some days it just ain't happening, that just makes those good days really good, thanks for all your efforts John. This is just our second tournament of the year and it is starting out as a pretty good "horse' race with the top 6 separated by only 6 points. Everyone had fun, caught fish and no one fell in the water. Congratulations to John G. on his second limit…Good Luck to you John, we'll miss you on the water.
Good Job to everyone for staying safe and keeping those fish alive.
