Message From The President:

Now is the time to start thinking about the changes you would like to see in the club in the future. As we gather the submitted changes, they are posted on the website. Each member should read them carefully and make your personal decision about how you wish to vote on the items. Remember that in September we will discuss and answer questions about them. If each of us takes the time to read them in advance we may also answer some questions we have about them in advance. It is important that we read those that are already posted and be familiar with them as this will help expedite the meeting.
Yes, we will take additional proposals at the September meeting but there is no guarantee that they will get posted in time for you to familiarize yourself with them. Remember that in October we will vote on them and that there will be no discussion at that meeting, only clarifications. If we are all prepared as we discuss and explain at the September meeting then it will make the meeting run as smooth as possible.
Please do your part and be as familiar with all of the proposals as possible.

Minutes of the Meeting:

The July meeting of the PHH was brought to order at 7:00 P.M. August 19 2009 at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
President John Buck presided.
There were 20 members and 1 guest

Jere Jaillite reported that there would be About $1400 in the fish-off pot and that it is expected to be 22 or 23 members eligible to fish. John also reminded the membership that proposed rule changes were due in writing by tonights meeting if they were going to be included in the newsletter.
The September meeting would be the time to discuss these proposals and October would be for voting on changes.

August Tournament:

For our August tournament the Hawg Hunter's headed way up the Tensaw River to Hubbard's Landing on Tensaw Lake.
The weather gave us a break and it was quiet a pleasant day weatherwise.
In fact with the cloud cover in the morning and the nice breeze later in the day it was a down right lovely day. First light found 17 fisherman floating around waiting for the go sign from TD Dave Dyess.

At weigh-in time the majority of the members had something to show for their hard work.
All those who had fish (except Tony) were in bags of one, two or threes or fours. Tony Boyett was the only angler with a Limit of five keeper fish. Four members got to watch the weigh-in with nothing to report except short fish. Me included!

1st Place
Tony Boyett

Tony brought in the only limit of the day with 5 fish weighing 9.48 lbs. He also took fist place. Congratulations Tony!!
We all want to know where and how??

2nd Place
Bob Hanson

Bob took second place with 4 really nice fish weighing 7.74 pounds.
Way to go Bob!!
Jere said Bob kept talkin all day about those Uncle Jim Whoop A@# baits
he had tied on.....Hmmmmm.....It seems to me Jere might want to look at who was in the back of who's boat and who got WHOOPED the worst!!

3rd Place
Lee Brannon

Lee brought in 4 nice fish to take the third place spot with 7.57 pounds. He also stole the lunker pot away from Jim Bailey Sr with a nice 2.94 keeper.

4th Place
Buddy Yates

Looks like Buddy Yates is still climbing his way to the gray area in the Top 6
.
All I can say is somebody better drive a nail in that boyz shoe or

SOMEBODY AIN'T GONNA GET A TROPHY!!

Buddy had 4 hard to find keepers with a total weight of 5.11 lbs.
Way ta go Buddy!!
