Message From The President:

Words of Wisdom!

I recently had the privilege of helping one of our brethren change a flat trailer tire on the interstate. After we got the boat situated "JUST SO" on the shoulder of the highway, we began to try and jack the trailer up to change the tire.
That is when we experienced at that point was a lot of frustration The problem was with the jack. Since the tire was flat, we couldn't get the jack under the axle to lift up. After about 45 minutes, we finally found a spot on the trailer that we could use and we got the tire changed.
My word of wisdom is this.
Carry a 4X4 about 10" inches long in your engine compartment. Cut one end of the 4X4 on a slope like you would use for a chock.. You can simply drive the FLAT tire up on the 4X4 and raise the axle on the trailer 3 1/2 inches. Enough to get a jack or half moon lift under it. Try it. It works.

Good Fishing,
Dave

At the weigh in only 12of the 20 showed up with fish. All members were wearing their hats and shirts except two. Only two limits were brought to the scales, John Buck and Jeff Weaver. In fact Jeff and John were the only two anglers with more than three fish.It was a tough day of fishing.
