Message From The President:

For some reason the job of President of the Hawg Hunters is getting much easier.
Could it be that we're having fun.
Maybe it's the effect of all the new blood we have. The new guys from the Five Flags has seemed to breath new life into our club. It has been a pleasure fishing with you guys. With our two day tournaments coming up, hopefully we'll get to know them all a little better. Thanks again guys.
You're making this too easy.

Dave

Minutes of the Meeting:

The January meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. January 20 2010
at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess presided over the meeting.
There were 23 members and 1 guest
Jason Weaver present.

Old Business:

The treasurer's report was given and accepted. Bill Myrick reported the Boo-Ray pot is up to $308 for a 5lb fish and the 50/50 winner was Dave Bock.
The December tournament results were given out and the January tournament draw was done.
A reminder was made that Mack Cramer has invited everyone to his home for
Super Bowl Sunday.
Mack supplies the
FREE grub and you bring your own drink of choice. I hear since the Saints are going to the Super Bowl Mack is going all out this year by cooking up one of his most favorite dishes.
FRESH ROAD KILL STEW
They say it's killer
Let him know if you plan to attend.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:40PM.

New Business:

A Motion was made and passed by unanimous vote that we replace $228.64 back to the special fund from the general fund for the purchase of the new/used scales and warranty.
Bob Jones was voted in as our newest member. Welcome aboard Bob!

January Tournament:

The third tournament of the new tournament year was held on the Tensaw River at Cliff's Landing. With early morning temperature in the upper 40's twenty Hawg Hunters waited for safe daylight to make the run to their favorite honey hole to uncover the particular pattern that would work for the elusive Black Bass.
Four of the 20 anglers found the trick that worked for them in order to bring in a limit. All others had 1, 2 3 or 4.
Only three members will find their names in the ALSO FISHED category this month.

1st Place
Pete Mistich

Pete Mistich brought in 5 very nice fish for 9.92 lbs for the day. Pete also caught the lunker of the day of 4.58 lbs.

2nd Place
Dave Dyess

Dave Dyess wasn't able to find any mud flats this month to add to his record but he did find a limit of fish for 6.41 lbs.
Way ta go Dave!!

January Tournament:

3rd Place
Bob Jones

Bob Jones fished with Dave and took 3rd place with 5 fish weighting 6.20 lbs. Bob was voted in this month as our newest member. Bob we might have to take another vote on you if you keep this up!

4th Place
Ken Repine

Ken came on strong this month as he took 4th place with 5 fish and 5.52 lbs.
Way to go Ken!!

One Last Note
I know it must'a completely slipped his mind since he's so good at making nominations but it seems like our own tournament director had a bit of a problem launching his boat Saturday morning. Talk is he was so overcome for beating Mack to the launch site and having the chance to be the first to tie his boat up at the dock he forgot to remove his motor-toter from the engine.
He had to be pulled back out to remove it. BUMMER!
Come ta think about now!!
Mack didn't fish this tournament.

WELCOME TO THE SLAMMER FRANK!!
