Message From The President:

Well guys it looks like Spring has finally arrived in our neck of the woods. This past weekend at Lake Seminole proves it.
Day one was warm and beautiful and the second day was wet and windy. It's Spring! I really enjoyed the fish fry. It's always great to see all the guys in one spot with a common purpose (getting fed).
A big thanks to Kevin and Glenn and all the guys that helped out with the prep and cooking. Great job guys.
Next month we go to Lake Martin. We go on the 2nd weekend in April.
See you then.

Dave

March Tournament:

Everyone has been looking forward to our first two day tournament of the new fishing year and with it being at Lake Seminole everyone was filled with anticipation and great expectations. Jere and Ron were being watched closely to see if either of them were going to repeat their great performance from last year. Most of the guys in the club tried to go over on Friday to get in a few practice swings. Not too many people were talking Friday night about what they did on pre-fish day.
Saturday promised to be a fair weather day and boy howdy it was!! The cool morning gave way to one of the most gorgeous days so far this Spring. At the first day weigh-in everyone had fish! Four of the anglers came in with a limit.
No one was in the also fished category for day one. 47 keepers we weighed in with the big fish of the day being 5.11 pounds caught by Jeff Weaver.
Sunday it was predicted to rain and it did. Intermittent showers continued throughout the morning. The wind got up and the main lake was full of white caps by time to head in for the 1:00 weigh-in.
It made for a pretty rough ride for anyone who had to cross the lake.

Day two weigh-in was considerably different. Not everyone had fish, and there was only one angler with a limit this time (Buddy Yates). Only 28 fish were brought to the scales. The total number of fish was 75 and the total weight caught for the weekend was 176.45 pounds.Big fish for Sunday was caught by Bob Jones.
His lunker was 4.86 pounds.

1st Place
Bob Jones
Bob Jones brought in nine very nice fish to take 1st place with a weight of 20.51 lbs. Bob is one of our newest members and if we had known he was gonna' out fish us all we might not have voted him in.
Not really Bob!!
Congratulation on a great win!!

2nd Place
Buddy Yates

Buddy brought in the only limit 2 days in a row. Buddy had 10 very nice fish weighing 18.66 pounds. Buddy has only been in the club a little over a year and he is really kickin' butt. Way to go buddy!! Third place in February second place in March. Buddy are you expecting to get first place at Lake Martin??

3rd Place
John Buck
John took third place with 7 very nice fish weighing 18.07 Pounds. John's first great carried him far enough that on Sunday his two good fish bumped him on up to third place.

4th Place
Jere Jaillite
Jere came on strong again this year at Seminole as he took 4th place with 8 fish and 17.27 lbs. Way to go (again) Jere!!

One Last Note
Sorry Frank but it l@@ks like ole Jeff is going for the whole ball of wax this year. Not only is he in 1st place in the Top 6,
it also looks like he has set his eyes on the Slammer as well....AS TOLD TO ME by other credible sources it seems that ole Jeffy wanted to demonstrate to the membership before blastoff Sunday what it was like being a true Hawg Hunter at heart.
Story is he was found under his truck rootin around in the mud and rain looking for his keys. He was told that if his cell phone wasn't flooded out he could call ON-STAR and they would send a signal
to unlock his truck!!.....Dah!!

Congratulations Ole Chinhook
Looks like your well on your way
to another 1st place.
