Message From The President:

Well guys, another fishing year has come and gone. I believe that the past year has been one of the best yet. We have enjoyed the best of all worlds. Lots of fish, no real problems, and smooth meetings. Personally, I think that a big round of applause needs to given to John Buck for his leadership over the past 2 years.
What a nice job! I just hope that I can keep up with him. I know that the boys on your new E-board will keep me on the streight and narrow and with your support, I am confident that 2010 will be another good year. I look forward to it!

Your Fearless Leader
Dave

Minutes of the Meeting:

The November meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 P.M. November 11 2009 at
Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess our new president
presided over the meeting.
There were 18 members and 1 guest
Pete Mistich present.

Old Business:

The October Meeting minutes were read and accepted. Kevin Simmons also gave a treasurers report.

New Business:

Everyone is being asked to have the exact amount at the meeting to pay tournament fees. Cash or check will be accepted.
Dave Dyess reported that the club scales have been repaired and are on the way back from the shop. The club voted to buy an extended warranty for the repaired scales. New tournament schedules were given out and discussed by the new TD Frank Kelly. Jim Bailey gave a report about the club website. There are many features and a few new items he wanted everyone to know about.

November Tournament:

The Hawg Hunters were scheduled to fish the first tournament of the new year at Fish River. The launch site was at the Highway 98 Landing. Tropical storm Ida blew through earlier in the week but the water was back down for the tournament. The cool early morning temps gave way to mild weather and calm water for the remainder of the day. It was a very pleasant day for being out on the water.
Most anglers had a good time fishing but the problem was in the catching part.
Not many of the fish that did bite were keeper size. At weigh-in twelve of the seventeen fishermen had something to bring to the scales. Lee Brannon and Mack Cramer were the only two to find the mother load and they both came in with a limit of five fish each. Everyone else either had one, two, or zero for their effort.
Five members found their names in the ALSO FISHED category.

November Tournament:

1st Place
Lee Brannon

With fishing as hard as it was Lee found the right bait early Saturday and began the day with his first fish turning out to be the lunker of the tournament.
Lee brought in 5 fish at 6.94 lbs.

2nd Place
Mack Cramer

Mack brought in the only other limit of the tournament with five fish weighing in at 6.77 lbs. Mack had one nice fish that weighed in at 1.85 that was a contender for the lunker. Better luck next time Mack.

3rd Place
Kevin Simmons

Kevin, our new VP and treasurer for the 2010 fishing season found two solid keepers for 2.42 lbs and a 3rd place win. Way ta go Kevin. Kevin moved up from 4th place last month to 3rd place this month. Kevin since your on a roll here do you reckon you could do a 1st or 2nd place for us next month??...Could ya??

4th Place
Jim Bailey Sr.

Well, Well lookie here...ol' Jim Sr done went and did it. In the money for the first tournament of the year. Jim took out the final spot with a 4th place win with 2 nice fish at 2.37 lbs.
Jim told me he didn't want to brag "BUT" this win looked ta him like a clear sign of better things ta come. He also told me he would be at the meeting next month a few minutes early to sign autopraphs for those that wanted them before the lines got too long....hehehe
