Minutes of the Meeting:

The April meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. April 13, 2011 at
Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess presided over the meeting. There were 20 members and 1 guest present.


Old Business:

Voting was done on the three new prospective members. Welcome to the club Andy Gunn, Steve Meadows and Neil Springstead. Eddie Falzone declined membership at this time. Minutes of the March meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted. Boo Ray pot is starting over.
$14 to join for the rest of this tournament year. Ron Bridges won the Boo-Ray pot last month. He won $714 for his 6.96 pound lunker. The 50/50 was won by Jere Jaillite. $30 to Jere and $31 to special fund. Dave Dyess gave information about the fried chicken dinner that will be on Saturday night at the Key West Inn.


New Business:

Butch Gunnells passed away from Cancer of the esophagus. The club sent flowers and several members attended the visitation and funeral. Our condolences to his family. New phone and email lists will be updated. Jere Jaillite asked everyone to let him know of any changes. Thanks Jere for doing this for the club!!
Tony Boyette will be ordering new T shirts with club name. These are not required and are not official club shirts.
Contact Tony if you are interested.
March Tournament results were given out and the draw for partners for the April tournament was done. Frank Kelly gave information about the caravan meeting site and motel accommodations for April tournament. March tournament results were given out and the partner draw was done for the April tournament.
Caravan will leave Wal-Mart on Highway 29 at 3:30 a.m. Friday morning.
The Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.


April Tournament:

The April tournament was held on Jordan Lake near Wetumpka Alabama. This is our sixth tournament this year. Fifteen Hawg Hunter's and one guest fished the Tournament.


1st Place
Mack Cramer

Mack brought in a limit of five nice fish on Saturday and five nice fish on Sunday.
His best day was Saturday though as he brought in a five fish bag that weighed 12.78 pounds and included the lunker of the day @ 3.58 pounds. His total weight for tournament was 23.16 lbs. Mack will still be keeping his first place spot and will lengthen the lead he already has on everyone else. Congratulations Mack.

He Will Be Greatly Missed.


April Tournament:


2nd Place
Lee Brannon

Lee also had a nice stringer of ten fish for the weekend. Lee's total weight for the weekend was 21.59 pounds. Way to go Lee!!! The way I see it this will move you up from 7th to 6th place for the year.


3rd Place
John Buck

John took the third place spot this month with a nice bag of ten fish . His total weight was 19.97 pounds.John was the club member with the largest fish on Sunday (3.30 lbs.) Congratulations John!!!!
Looks like this will move you from sixth place up to fifth place.


4th Place
Jeff Weaver

Jeff brought in 5 beautiful fish each day for a total weight of 18.52 lbs. All quality fish for both days. Congratulations Jeff this should keep you in the second place spot for the year to date standings!!!!
The total weight of the fish for tournament was 209.16 lbs. There were a total of 113 fish weighed in for both days. The average weight was 1.85 pounds for all the fish weighed in. Everyone that fished had fish to weigh in but not everyone caught fish both days. There were 66 fished weighed on Saturday and 47 on Sunday. Not one club member in the "Also Fished" category this month. All of the 15 club members present were wearing their hats and shirts at the Saturday afternoon weigh-In.
Great Job Assistant Tournament Director Don Jahnke for handling the weigh in and blast off again this month. A great big hand and a special thanks to Dave Dyess for the chicken dinner on Saturday night. We did not have any dead fish for the entire tournament!! No dead fish so far this tournament year. Great job guys let's try to keep it up. Just a note…

Ken Repine was in the hospital and unable to attend the meeting or the tournament. Get well soon Ken.
