Minutes of the Meeting:

The August meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 P.M. August 17, 2011 at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess presided over the meeting. There were 22 members present. Steve Holmes with the FWC was our guest speaker.  He talked about the FWC boating and fishing regulations and hosted a question and answer session for the members.


Old Business:

The yard sale is still being discussed.  It will be at Buck and Bass Sporting Goods Store on October 8. Minutes of the July meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted. Boo-Ray Pot is up to $190 for a 5 pounder or larger bass caught during a tournament. The 50/50 WAS won AGAIN this month by Jere Jaillite.  Jere won it three months in a row but lost out last month to Frank Kelly.  Then won it again this month. $33 to Frank and $33 to special fund.  Rule change proposals are due tonight.

New Business:
Tournament Director Frank Kelly gave out the July Tournament results and the draw for partners for the August tournament was done.
Caravan this month will leave from Food World on pine Forrest Road at 3:30 A.M. The Meeting was adjourned at 7:56 p.m.

August Tournament:

The August tournament was held on Tensaw River launching from Hubbard’s Landing.
This is our tenth tournament this year. Nineteen Hawg Hunter's fished the
Tournament with 10 boats in the line-up.



1st Place
Tony Boyett

Tony brought in one of the only two limits of the day.
His total weight for day was 8.22 lbs.
Tony has placed in two out of the three tournaments he has fish this year.  He took 1^st place both times.  If fact Tony won two out of the three in the tournaments where he fished.

A Little Salt:

2nd Place
John Buck

John only brought in three fish but he still  took the second place spot for the day. John’s total weight for the day was 7.33 pounds.  John also brought in the lunker of the day.  4.01 pounds. Way to go John !!

3rd Place
Mack Cramer
Mack took the third place spot this month with a five fish limit.  His was one of the only two limits caught. The weight for his 5 fish was 7.04.
Congratulations Mack!!!



4th Place
Lee Brannon

Lee only had four fish for the day but really nice ones.  Lee’s total weight was 6.94.  Congratulations LEE!!!!

The total weight of the fish for tournament was 70.58 lbs. There were 49 fish weighed in for the day. The average weight was 1.42 pounds for all the fish weighed in. Only two club members were in the "Also Fished" category this month.
18 of the 19 club members present were wearing their club hats and shirts at the Saturday afternoon weigh-In. This month we only had two dead fish. That brings the total for dead fish to 18 for the year.
