Minutes of the Meeting:

The December meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. December 8, 2010
at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess presided over the meeting. There were 18 members present.
Old Business:

Minutes of the October meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted.
Boo Ray pot is up to $606.00.
CD's with the banquet slide show are available for any contribution to the
Special Fund.
The 50/50 was won by Frank Kelly.
Ron Bridges good luck on your Surgery on January 4, 2011.
The fourth place award for last year was awarded to Mack Cramer.

New Business:

New updated telephone lists were given out. Thanks Jere for the great job on publishing the phone lists and the new tournament schedules.
November Tournament results were given out and the draw for partners for the December tournament was done.
Frank Kelly gave information about the launch site for Saturday.
The Meeting was adjourned at 7:26 p.m.

December Tournament:

The December tournament was held at Smith's Landing on the Escambia River . This is our second tournament this year. Sixteen Hawg Hunter's fished the December Tournament.


1st Place
Lee Brannon
Lee brought in the only limit of the tournament. He had five very nice fish for 1st place. His total weight was 8.87 lbs. Lee almost had the lunker of the day with a 2.60 pounder. Just .17 lbs below

December Tournament:


2nd Place
Jeff Weaver
Jeff Weaver also had a nice stringer of four fish for a total weight of 6.94 pounds. Jeff and three other anglers were the only anglers to bring in more than three fish to the weigh in.


3rd Place
Buddy Yates
Buddy took the third place spot with a nice bag of three fish for the day. Buddy also caught a 2.77lb lunker of the day.
This is the first time since joining the club two years ago that Buddy has caught the lunker in a tournament. With three fish this nice Buddy would have really given us all a run for the money if he could have finished out with the two other he was looking for.


4th Place
John Buck
John brought in 3 beautiful fish for a total weight was 5.07 pounds. Like Buddy if he had been able to get the other two needed fish he would have gave Lee a tough challenge.

The total weight of the fish for tournament was 57.51 lbs There were a total of 42 fish weighed in for the day. The average weight was 1.37 pounds. Pretty nice average!! Only one of the club members found themselves in the ALSO FISHED category on Saturday. All of the 16 club members present were wearing their hats and shirts at the Saturday afternoon weigh-In. We did not have any dead fish for the entire tournament!!
No dead fish so far this tournament year. Great job guys let's try to keep it up.
