Minutes of the Meeting:

The January meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. January 19, 2011
at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess presided over the meeting. There were 20 members and
1 guest present.
Old Business:

Minutes of the December meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted.
Boo Ray pot is up to $676.00.
The 50/50 was won by Frank Dodge.Bill Myrick gave a report on Ron Bridges and his surgery. Ron hopes to be back in February.

New Business:

Kevin Simmons withdrew his proposal for a new Boo Ray Pot. Dave Dyess proposed an idea to help boost membership.
Contact colleges in the area about potential college student participation in the club. More discussion next month. December Tournament results were given out and the draw for partners for the January tournament was done. Compliments of Marc Churchwell 4 tote bags were auctioned off @ $5 each. Thanks Marc!! Frank Kelly gave information about the launch site for Saturday.The Meeting was adjourned at 7:40 p.m.

January Tournament:

The January tournament was held at Scott's Landing on the lower Tensaw River . This is our third tournament this year. Eighteen Hawg Hunter's fished the Tournament.


1st Place
Mack Cramer
Mack brought in a limit of five nice fish. His total weight was 8.79 lbs. Mack almost had the lunker of the day with a 2.23 pounder. He was only .16 pounds behind the fish John had for tournament.

January Tournament:


2nd Place
Jeff Weaver
Jeff Weaver also had a nice stringer of five fish for a total weight of 7.99 pounds.
Jeff and his partner Jim Bailey were the only two anglers in the same boat to both bring in a limit of fish.


3rd Place
Buddy Yates
Buddy took the third place spot again this month with a nice bag of five fish.
Buddy was one of the few anglers with a limit. This will bring Buddy up to the third place spot for the year.


4th Place
Dave Dyess
Dave brought in 5 beautiful fish for a total weight was 6.85. Dave decided after the meeting that he wanted to fish the tournament so he was paired up with
Don Jahnke our lone boater for this weekend. The total weight of the fish for tournament was 69.81 lbs There were a total of 51 fish weighed in for the day.
The average weight was 1.36 pounds. Pretty nice average!! Only three of the club members found themselves in the ALSO FISHED category . All of the 18 club members present were wearing their hats and shirts at the Saturday afternoon weigh-In except one. We did not have any dead fish for the entire tournament!!
No dead fish so far this tournament year. Great job guys let's try to keep it up.
