Minutes of the Meeting:

The September meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 P.M. September 21, 2011 at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Dave Dyess presided over the meeting. There were 23 members present.



Old Business:

The yard sale is still being discussed. It will be at Buck and Bass Sporting Goods Store on October 8. Minutes of the August meeting were read and accepted. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted. Boo-Ray Pot is up to $228 for a 5 pounder or larger bass caught during a tournament. The 50/50 was won this month by Steve Meadows.$40 to Steve and $41 to the special fund. Sorry Jere you can’t win every time. Rule change proposals were discussed.  There are only two of them this year.  The proposed changes are listed on the Hawg Hunters web site.  We will be voting on them at the October meeting.  A count was taken of the number of people who plan to be at the cookout at the September tournament.  The yard sale is still on for Saturday October 8th at Buck and Bass Sporting Goods.  Time will be from 7:00A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

August tournament results were given out and the draw was done for partners for the September Tournament.

New Business:
Tournament Director Frank Kelly gave out tournament nomination sheets for the upcoming tournament year. If you have suggestions for the E board to consider write them down and turn in the form.
 The Meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.

September Tournament:

The September tournament was a two day tournament held on two different lakes on two different days. Day one was on Lay lake going out from the lower dam landing.  The second day was on Lake Mitchell launching from the Higgihs Ferry Park Landing.
This is our eleventh tournament this year with only the OctoberTournament and end of the year Fish Off left to go. Fifteen Hawg Hunter's fished the
Tournament with 8 boats in the line-up.



1st Place
Buddy Yates

Buddy brought in a limit both days of the tournament with quality fish both days.  Hid day one weight was 10.36 and his day two weight was 10.19. 
His total weight for the two days days was 20.55 lbs.  Buddy has come a long way this year and placed himself in the number five spot for the year.

2nd Place

Mack Cramer

Mack brought in a limit two days in a row also. His weight for day one was 8.25 and a day two weight of 11.94.  Mack’s total weight for the two days was 20.19 pounds.  Mack also brought in the lunker of the day on Saturday.  His big fish was 3.38 pounds. Way to go Mack!!

 


3rd Place
Jeff Weaver
Jeff took the third place spot this month with a five fish limit both days. His day one weight was 10.16 and his day two weight was 7.56. The weight for his 10 fish was 17.72. Congratulations Jeff!!!




4th Place

Dave Dyess

Dave had a two day limit of 9 fish. Day one he had 5 fish weighing 9.28 pounds and a day two weight of 5.91.  Dave’s total weight was 15.19. Congratulations Dave!!!!

The total weight of the fish for tournament was 181.72 lbs. There were 50 fish weighed in for the day from Lay Lake and 54 fish from Lake Mitchell on the second day. The average weight was 1.75 pounds for all the fish weighed in. Only one club member was in the "Also Fished" category this month.
13 of the 15 club members present were wearing their club hats and shirts at the Saturday afternoon weigh-In. This month we had seven dead fish. That brings the total for dead fish to 25 for the year.
