Minutes of the Meeting:

The April meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. March 21, 2012.
at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Marc Churchwell presided over the meeting. There were 26 members and 1 guest present. Welcome Mike Garrett.

Old Business:

Motion made and seconded that we dispense with the reading of minutes from March. Motion passed. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted. Boo Ray was won by Ken repine for catching a 5.91 pound fish al Lake Seminole last month. New Boo-Ray Pot is going. If you are not in you can get in now. See Bill Myrick if you are interested. Jerry Jaillite is going to email everyone an updated member information sheet If you don't get one contact Jerry .

New Business:

EW Combs and Brian McCarthy were voted in as a new member. Welcome EW and Brian!!!

John Buck reminded everyone that expenses for tournaments are to be split equally by the boater and the non boater. Boat and Truck should be full of fuel at the beginning of the tournament. MUCH DISCUSSION ENSUED!!! Saturday night meal at the lake Martin tournament will be fried chicken with sides. Tournament results were given out and the draw was done for partners for the March Tournament.
The 50/50 drawing was won by Tom Thrasher. $42 to Chris and $43 to the club.
The Meeting was adjourned at 7:46 p.m.

April Tournament:

The April tournament was held on Lake Martin at the Kowliga Creek landing on Saturday and the Wind Creek Landing on Sunday. Nine boats and 17 member anglers were in the two day tournament. This is our sixth tournament of the new year. Everyone had a partner this time except Frank Dodge. He was the only solo boater. Sorry Frank!!

1st Place

Brian brought in 5 fish for the weekend. 2 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. His limit on Sunday was one of only four limits for the weekend. His total weigh for the tournament was 11.47 lbs. He almost had lunker ON Sunday with a nice spot weighing 2.75 pounds.

A Little Salt:

2nd Place
John Buck

John brought in a nice bag of 7 fish also. John had one of the only two limits on Day one of the tournament. 5 fish on Saturday and 2 fish on Sunday. It was heard at the weigh in that John had a limit by 9:00 on Saturday and was culling after that. He had first place after day but dropped to second place after day two.

3rd Place
Jeff Weaver
Jeff took the third place spot again this month with another nice bag of eight fish for the two day tournament.
The weight for his 8 fish was 8.60 pounds.

4th Place
Dan Nash
Dan had a nice bag of fish also. His five fish for the tournament weighed in at 7.87 pounds. Dan brought in the lunker of the day on Sunday with a nice bass weighing 3.41 pounds!

Tournament Results

The weight for the first day of the tournament was 48.80 pounds. There were 38 fish weighed in for day one.
Day two was a little tougher with only 33 fish being weighed in at 39.19 pounds.
The total weight for the weekend was 87.99 pounds with a total of 71 fish for the weekend. The average weight was 1.26 pounds for all the fish weighed in.
This month we only had TWO dead fish. Let's keeps the number of dead fish as low as possible this year. This year it has only been 5 so far. Last year the total number of dead fish was 25.
