Minutes of the Meeting:

The August meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. August 15, 2012
at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Marc Churchwell presided over the meeting. There were 24 members and no guest present.

Old Business:

Minutes from the July meeting were read and approved. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted. Boo Ray up to $156 for a 5+ pound fish caught during a tournament.

New Business:

50/50 drawing was done and Thom LaBelle was the winner. $40 goes to Thom and $40 goes into the special fund.

Nominees for next years E Board are now being accepted. New officers will be vote on in October.

Proposals for changes to the tournament rules and Constitution are due tonight. They will be discussed next at next months meeting and will be voted on in October.

All Alabama fishing licenses expire at the end of August. You will need a new Alabama license when we fish at Swift creek and Lay Lake. There is a link on the bass club home page to buy a new license.

July tournament results were given out and the draw was done for partners for the August Tournament.

August Tournament:

The August tournament was held on the Tensaw River in Stockton Al. Launch site this time was Hubbards Landing. 11 boats and twenty one member anglers were in the tournament. This is our tenth tournament of this year. We only have two more tournaments in this tournament year. Everyone had a partner this time except Carlito Silvania. He was the only solo boaters this month.


1st Place
Buddy Yates
Buddy was the one and only member who caught a limit in the tournament. Buddy had fourth place last month at Blackwater and now first place this month on Tensaw. His limit of five fish weighed in at 6.18 pounds. If I am looking at this right this should bring you up to the 3rd place overall.

Congratulations Buddy !!!!

2nd Place
Dave Dyess
Dave brought in three nice fish. Dave and three other anglers were the only anglers (out of 21 fishing) to bring in more that two fish. Dave's total weight was 4.93 pounds. Dave also won the lunker pot for a 2.34 pound fish. This should bring you up several places in the overall standings. Congratulations Dave !!!.

3rd Place
Mack Cramer
Mack took the third place spot again this month with another nice bag of three fish. Mack was one the four anglers that had three fish. Everyone below him (except Buddy Yates) only had 1 or 2 fish
The weight for his 3 fish was 3.75 pounds. This should secure you in the number two spot for the year with a nice lead over the third place angler.

4th Place
Tony Boyett
Tony only had three fish but they were nice ones and enough to put him in the fourth place spot. His three fish for the tournament weighed in at 3.26 pounds. Congratulations Tony!!

Tournament Results:

The total weight for all anglers in the tournament was 40.05 pounds. There were 34 fish weighed in for the one day tournament.
