Minutes of the Meeting:

The October meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at
7:00 P.M. October 17, 2012
at Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
Marc Churchwell presided over the meeting. There were 25 members and two guest present. Guests were Kimmy Cole, daughter of Randy Cole and Tanner Smith, son of Terry Smith.

Old Business:

Minutes from the September meeting were not read. The Treasurer's report was given and accepted.

New Business:

50/50 drawing was done and Frank Kelly was the winner. ½ goes to Frank and ½ goes into the special fund.

Nominations from the floor for next years E Board were accepted. The slate of nominees from the E Board was accepted by a majority vote New officers will take over in November.

Proposals for changes to the tournament rules and Constitution were voted on. There were only two that passed. They will be on the updated Constitution and Fishing Rules on the club website.

September tournament results were given out and the draw was done for partners for the October Tournament and Fish Off at Lay Lake.

October Tournament:

1st Place
Jeff Weaver
Jeff was one of only two members who caught a limit on both days of the tournament (Marc Churchwell was the other). Jeff took the first place spot on Saturday with a nice bag of 8.64 pounds and the first place spot again on Sunday with another limit of 12.68 pounds. Jeff ended up in first place with a two day bag of ten fish. His total weight was 21.32 pounds. Jeff said that this was the best he had ever done since he has been in the Pensacola Hawg Hunters. Jeff, this will lock you in as Angler of The Year.

2nd Place
Lee Brannon
Lee brought in four nice fish on Saturday and five nice fish on Sunday for a bag of nine fish weighing in at 19.03 pounds. There were only five other members to catch a limit. Lee, this should bring you up to the fifth place in the overall standings. Congratulations Lee !!!.

3rd Place
Marc Churchwell
Marc (our outgoing president) took the third place spot this month with another nice bag of ten fish for the weekend. Marc was one of the two anglers to have a limit both days of the tournament. Marc you should be in the sixteenth place spot for the year to date standings.
The weight for his 5 fish on Saturday was 7.6 pounds and another limit on Sunday of 7.21 pounds. Marcs total weight was 14.81 pounds!

4th Place
Don Jahnke
Don had seven nice fish for the weekend. His two fish on Saturday weighed 3.32 pounds and had him in eleventh place for day one. Don had a really great day on Sunday and caught a limit that weighed 10.44 pounds. His total weight for the weekend was 13.76 pounds. He went up to third place on Sunday and ended up in fourth place for the Tournament. Don, looks like you will be number eight in the end of the year standings.
