The June meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 P.M on Wednesday the 17th of June by our President John Buck. We had 18 members present and 1 guest. John Schaff a previous club member from the past.

Old Business:

Minutes from last meeting was not read due to club secretary on vacation.
The treasury report was read and accepted by the membership.

Booray Report: Was won by Jere Jaillite for his 6.02 pound Hawg caught at Miller's Ferry during the May Tournament. See Bill Myrick for details.

50/50 draw was conducted and won by Michael Johnson. Remeber guys the Special Fund gets filled up by the monies collected during the 50/50 draw and we use it for our cookouts. If you want to eat good like we have been then you need to participate in the draw.

New Business:

There are new Florida Wildlife Commission proposals for changes in fishing regulations coming. See John Buck for details.

There is going to be a deposit for the Lake Point Cabins for the October Tournament. If you plan on attending see Mack Cramer for details.

From the Tournament Director:

Remember we have 2pm weigh-ins for the June, July and August Tournaments. It's going to be hot so look out after each other and be mindful of the stress on your fish.

Payouts for given for Last Month.

Lets talk insurance. It is every boaters responsibility to have a current boat insurance policy on file with the Tournament and Assistant Tournament director. By our rules if it's not current your boat cannot be used in a club tournament.
The following are coming due:
June: Frank Dodge & Dan Nash
July: Marion Johnson & Randy Cole
August: Dave Bock

Meeting adjourned at 7:41pm.

Perdido River, Wow, what can one say, you either love it or you hate it. For me, well let’s just say that if it suddenly dried up I wouldn’t be upset. The problem with the river is,  it looks like there should be a fish on every tree, unfortunately that’s not the case. For me  to try and pass on helpful info for you to take to the river I have none.  I can however pass on to you what others have told me.  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As you can see not much was passed on. Take your best shot and hopefully you will be successful.  Also make sure you have your Alabama and Florida license with you. There are some areas you might go where you will be in Alabama. Be prepared.  Also keep in mind that it will be hot so start drinking WATER on Friday and hydrate yourself. Especially all you old codgers.

Our Birthday boys this month are:

Tony Boyett & Thom Labelle

Info on Lake Eufula for the October Tournament

Cancelation Policy:

Should the reservations be cancelled due to Hurricane or a disaster and the cancellation comes from the Park we will get a full refund on the deposit.

Should the club cancel the reservation after the deposit is paid the following must occur for us to get a refund.

1.       Cancellation must be by Monday October 12 2015 no Later than 5pm. A full refund will be made, after Monday October 12 2015 1 night rental fees will be charged on each cabin reserved.

Now for me this means that as a club I need to know if you are going or not prior to Monday October 12 2015 so I can adjust how many cabins we will need.  So please help me on this.

Tensaw River Tournament:

The June Tournament was held on the Tensaw River out of Live Oak Landing. Since it was a June tournament weigh-in was conducted at 2pm. We had 15 members and one guest fishing out of 8 boats. Temps were hot....it's June what would you expect.

Tournament Results:

1st Place
John Buck

John brought in a nice limit of fish weighing in at 7.84 pounds anchored by a Big Fish of 3.90 lbs. This win takes John shooting up the AOY leader board from 8th up to 4th Place!
Great Job!

Congrats John!

2nd Place
Mack Cramer

Taking second place is our Tournament Director Mack Cramer. His limit of 5 fish weighed in at 7.53 pounds. Mack's second place finish enables him to break the tie in the AOY standings to take over the First Place spot.

Great Job!

Congratulations Mack!

3rd Place
Michael Johnson

Michael brought in a limit of fish weighing 7.34 pounds to anchor a 3rd place finish. This is Michael's 1st time in the money slots this year out of the 3 tournaments he's fished.

Great Job!

Congratulations Michael!

4th Place
Bill Myrick

Bill rounds out our top 4 this month with his limit of fish weighing in at 6.41 pounds. This is only Bill's second time in the money this year but he jumps another spot to take over 3rd in the AOY Standings.

Great Job!

Congratulations Bill!

AOY Analysis

This month we had 9 members advance their positions while 12 declined. Biggest factor on the declines was not participating. Of those advancing John Buck was the biggest mover jumping 4 places to take over the 4th place spot. Of course when you win and get all them 15 points given it really helps. Our First Place Tie is broken with Mack taking over the position by 4 points. Lee drops to 2nd place but is still 21 points ahead of 3rd place. Bill jumps up one position to take over 3rd place that was held by Matt Brown who due to not fishing the tournament drops all the way down to 8th. As mentioned earlier John takes over 4th place. Jeff and Cliff still maintain their 5th and 6th place spots respectively.

CO-AOY Analysis:

On the Co-Angler of the Year side of things our top three Co-Anglers remain the same. Matt still commands the lead with Dave Dyess in the Silver Position with Bob Jones in the Bronze position
