changes be sure to get them to Jere so they can be including in the next

I'm sure the new tournament schedule was handed out and I've updated
our 2019 Index page to show where we are going. It promises
to be a great year!
The Awards Banquet is set. It's going to be held on the 14th

From the Tournament Director:

out.
Congrats to all those who received a paycheck.
Great job!
The
draw for the November Tournament was conducted.
Drawn out were 4 boaters with 4 Co-Anglers for the
November Tournament to
be held at Miller's Ferry.
Meeting was adjourned 8:44 pm
November Tournament:
The
November Tournament was held at Miller's Ferry and started out very
cool in the morning with a heavy fog over the river. Blast off
occurred from the landing instead of the river with only 4 boats
carrying 8 club members. It took about 2 hours after official
sunrise for the fog to clear because there was no wind and then turned
out to be a nice day, If only the fish would of cooperated.
Those 8 hearty fishermen only managed to bring back 8 fish
totaling 11.81 pounds. Compare that to last year when 19 guys
brought back 46 fish for 73.29 pounds I'd say the tournament was a
bust. But not for the Top 4! They all had fish!
Big
Fish Honors went to John Russell Buck with a 2.35 pound minnow.
Great job guys !
Tournament Results:
1st Place
John Russell Buck
John Russell is the only Hawg Hunter to maintain the #1 spot
we all had at the start of the season. And he did it during a
tough tournament. He caught 3 fish weighing in at 4.62 pounds.
Great job!
Congrats John Russell!
2nd Place
Lee Brannon
Lee is finally knocked down a peg from last years great season.
Only 1 peg though as he finishes Second with 2 fish weighing
3.43 pounds.
Great Job!
Congratulations Lee!
3rd Place
Jeff Weaver
Jeff picks up right where he left off last season in Third Place.
Jeff found 2 willing fish to ride with him till the weigh
in. They weighed 2.92 pounds.
Great Job!
Congratulations Jeff!
4th Place
Dave Hall
Dave rounds out our top 4 by putting this .84 pound fish in the boat.
In fact it was the only fish caught out of Mack's boat for
the day.
This is Dave's first showing in the money slots since joining the club
last season.
Great Job!
Congratulations Dave!
AOY Analysis:
Here we go again Mama Mia! Off to the races with another
Angler of the Year race beginning with one tournament down. Who
will win it this year? Will Lee have back to back wins?
Will a Co-Angler take the honors? Will it be You?
To start out the season we have a Co-Angler leading the pack.
John Russell leads us all fresh off his win at Miller's Ferry under
tough conditions.
Lee sits just one point behind in Second Place. He started
that way last year too so I think it's just a little too early to count
him out. I think Lee and his boat have come to an
understanding every since Lee threw it into that ditch 2 season ago.
It's been treating him pretty good.
Jeff finds himself in the 3rd spot again after finishing last year in
3rd. Great spring board to the top!
Dave Hall is new to the Top Six and we'd like to see him stay here.
He currently sits in 4th place for the Angler of the Year
standings.
In 5th we have a Tie. Mack Cramer and Bob Jones racked up
enough participation points to make it into the Top Six.
Right behind them is Everyone who attended the meeting! Bill
Armstrong and Brian Nall fished but were disqualified when Bill's boat
broke down and they couldn't make it back for the weigh in.
So according to the Tournament Rules they forfeit all points
including Tournament points, Fishing points and Shirt & Hat
points.
Great job to the Top Six!
CO-AOY Analysis:
John Russell leads our Co-Angler of the Year Race to start out our 2019
season. He was a strong player last year starting in the
middle of the season and this year he will be tough to beat.
Great job John Russell!
Starting the season out in the Silver Position is Dave Hall who
finished 4th this tournament.
Great Job Dave!
Rounding out the top three Co-Anglers is Bob Jones. He didn't
catch any fish this tournament but just showing up and surviving under
tough conditions earns him this 3 place spot.
Great Job Bob!
Good Samaritan Award!
Mack Cramer
Mack was gracious enough to go help a stranded angler and tow him back
to the landing. Turns out our Tournament Director Bill
Armstrong and his partner the Assistant Tournament Director Brian Nall
broke down up or down the river. No mater which way it was
but it
took Mack an hour and a half to bring him back.
Great Job Mack!
This event leads us to an issue that might make a rule change in the
future......A "what if" we haven't covered yet in our rules.
Is it wise to put the Tournament Director and the Assistant is the same
boat? The weigh in was delayed an hour and a half waiting on
them to return so the Club's official scales could be used.
Should we have a contingency plan in place like having more
than one person with access to the scales? How
about a spare key kept on the vehicle for others to get to it?
"What if" you are stuck at another landing and want
your truck and trailer brought up to you. Having a spare key
would help in that regard too.
Things that make you go hummmmm....
