Article II Membership, Section 1.

Current Rule

c. Fish one club tournament as a guest with a club member other than his sponsor. The tournament director will have the authority to make adjustments to the tournament pairings as he sees fit to insure that the guest and sponsor are not paired together.

d. Be voted on by the membership at the next meeting with guest not present. New member wil be allowed to fish the current monthly tournament so long as his annual dues and tournaments fees are paid.

Proposed Change

Removes the need to fish a guest tournament for membership

c. Fish one club tournament as a guest with a club member other than his sponsor. The tournament director will have the authority to make adjustments to the tournament pairings as he sees fit to insure that the guest and sponsor are not paired together.
Any potential club member name will have to be brought up at club meeting for discussion, month prior to be voted on at next month meeting for potential membership.

d. Be voted on by the membership at the next meeting with guest potential member not present. New member wil be allowed to fish the current monthly tournament so long as his annual dues and tournaments fees are paid.

**Consequences if approved**

Article II, Section 1 (g) would need to be ammended as follows:

g. Potential members must be nominated by a member in good standing and complete a member information sheet prior to fishing his guest first tournament.

Article II, Section 4 (a) would also need to be ammended as follows:

a. Dues are due and payable at the October meeting for the following year. Any member that hasn't paid his dues by the November meeting will be removed from membership and must re-apply and fish a guest tournament.

Rationale

I don't think we need a guest tournament for potential member. Encourages people to join club.
