Tournament Rules

9. All boats must be operated in a safe manner. Contestants must wear a coast guard approved life jacket while the combustion engine is being operated above idle speed. All boats must have an operational "kill switch" . All safety equipment required by the Coast Guard, State and local regulation will be adhered to. Any infractions will result in disqualification of the offender.

Individual members responsible for their own Life Jacket.

All boats must have an operational "kill switch" . All safety equipment required by the Coast Guard, State and local regulation will be adhered to. Any infractions will result in disqualification of the offender.

Rationale

As of now most life vest are supplied by the boater, due to safety and Legal responsibility I feel it is best for each individual to supply their own life vest. It is difficult for the boater to insure that he has a Life Vest that will fit each individual properly. A vest that will fit a large person will be extremely to large for a smaller person thus the legal rises up should there be an accident resulting in death or injury.
