Time to report on another exciting tournament of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters.
This months tournament was held out of Live Oak Landing and all were excited,
water levels had dropped and hopefully water conditions were getting better
as the day went on. Yours truly and Terry Smith had a game plan to run north
and work the skinny water early and load the boat. The morning air had a cool
crisp feel behind the front that pushed through on Friday night.
That should have told us something. It appeared three or four boat went north and the rest went south. As it turned out there was no real secret to catching fish,
just fish with Rich C. or Bryan M.
As the day drew to a close our hopes had vanished and Terry had only one keeper and I never got a solid bite. At weigh-in time other Hawg hunters had similar problems, except for Rich and Bryan. A lot of one and two small fish stringers but none of any size. I guess that's all part of the fun in fishing......
"Not Catching".
Next month its off to Claiborne and another long drive for a one day tournament. Hopefully the fishing will be better. Till then be safe and good luck....
